Dr. Tung Huu Nguyen, M.D. specializes in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. His clinical areas of interests include heart failure, coronary artery disease, and valvular disorders. Dr. Nguyen obtained his bachelor’s degree from Yale University and his medical degree from Vanderbilt University. He completed postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at USC, where he had a unique opportunity to manage many challenging cases including decompensated heart failure patients undergoing cardiac transplant evaluation.
Dr. Nguyen’s goal as a Cardiologist is to achieve the best results by applying a personalized approach to patient care. He works closely with primary care providers and other specialists to formulate individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs of each patient. Because Dr. Nguyen is credentialed to see patients at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital, Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center, Huntington Beach Hospital, and Garden Grove Hospital, he is able to follow his patients throughout their course of treatment. He gives each patient the same amount of care and attention as he would give to his own friends and family.
In his spare time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys traveling, blogging, and photography. He created this blog to help patients learn more about their health and their heart. He has also reached out to underserved patients by organizing charity events such as health fairs in collaboration with various non-profit groups in the community. Dr. Nguyen is fluent in Vietnamese and proficient in Medical Spanish.
